Coffee simple syrup
- 1 cup of brewed coffee
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
To make the syrup, combine the coffee and sugars in a saucepan. Place over medium heat and cook until the sugars completely dissolve. Remove from heat and add in vanilla.
For the cocktail
- 4 oz of bourbon
- 2 oz of the coffee simple syrup
- 1 – 2 dashes of bitters
- Splash of water (optional)
